Our History

The Magdalen Players have a history of funding shows to suit all tastes and of all different sizes. Whether you’re planning on staging a spectacle at The Oxford Playhouse or a one person show at the BT, we are happy to consider applications for anything and from all Oxford University students. Every year, the Magdalen Players back Magdalen entries in the University wide Fresher’s drama competition “Cuppers”, held in Michaelmas. Last year 2011, Magdalen competed with a production of Woody Allen’s one-act play God.
